Part of OnTo Mortgage‘s mission is to give back to the communities that we serve in. We take pride in raising awareness around local charities and supporting them as much as we can.
OnTo Gives Back
Through OnTo Gives Back, we give our clients the opportunity to be a part of our philanthropy effort by helping us choose a local charity to donate to each month. For every loan that closes, our clients and their agent will each be able to nominate one local charity of their choice. OnTo will then donate $1,500 to one of the nominated charities, which will be drawn at random at the end of the month!
Since August 2020, OnTo Gives Back has donated over $22,000 to local charities such as Father Bill’s & MainSpring, Handsome Dan’s Rescue, Holliston Food Pantry, St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, The Greater Boston Food Bank, HomeStart, Make-A-Wish, and Boston Firefighters Burn Foundation.
Giving Group
We have created a Giving Group made up of employees and business partners where we come together once a quarter to spread awareness and donate to special local charities chosen by the group!
Our first meeting was held August, 2021 and so far, we have donated a total of $17,500 to local charities such as Tommy’s Place Foundation Inc., Cure Sanfilippo Foundation (Save Connor Campaign), Operation American Soldier , Homebase, TriTogether and Max McCormick Memorial Foundation
HomeStart
The staff at OnTo Mortgage supports HomeStart by participating in their iCycle event each year.
HomeStart’s mission is to end homelessness in Greater Boston by assisting individuals in obtaining housing and settling into the community, and by developing strategies to prevent homelessness before it starts.
HomeStart’s ICYCLE is the ONLY Boston all-day outdoor cycling/spinning fundraiser in the winter. This event is a reminder to all, that spending just one hour cycling out in the cold, rain, or snow is nothing compared to living without the comforts of a home.
Proceeds from the event support HomeStart’s continued effort to fight homelessness.
This year, 19 team members from OnTo Mortgage and some of our business partners, participated in iCycle to do our part in helping to END HOMELESSNESS. OnTo Mortgage was able to raise $12K, which translates to helping 8 families get off of the street!
General Fundraising
Throughout the year, OnTo looks for opportunities to get involved with a variety of different local charities. In addition to our efforts listed above, we’ve been able to work with Boston Sock Exchange, Operation American Soldier, and Homes For Heroes.
