Rich Clayton is a performance-driven mortgage executive/ entrepreneur with more than 22 years in business. For most of his career in mortgage banking origination and operations, he has used his extensive experience and education to focus on the best-in-class customer experience with the ability to continuously identify and implement operational and process improvements. His strong track record of originating residential mortgage loans and at the same time, integrating product innovation and cutting-edge technology has provided his employers, business partners, and customers alike with operational leadership, expertise, outstanding business results, and client service excellence.
With the success he has achieved over his mortgage career, Rich made the decision to take this expertise and join forces to become a Co-Owner/Partner for OnTo Mortgage, a residential mortgage company located in the Boston area and serving New England. In his role as Senior Partner and CFO, he has streamlined the operations to make the lending process faster and easier from start to finish and ensure the Company is compliant with every aspect of the business model. At the same time, he continues with his commitment to the customers he serves and collaborates with real estate partners to assure a positive customer experience.
At the heart of his passion for the industry, Rich has always understood the importance of the collaboration of a team of employees and outside partners who shared his vision of customer commitment. He invested and co-produced a comprehensive training platform for loan originators and real estate brokers alike focused on mastering relationship skills and continues to teach and promote the values and skills on helping customers realize their homeowner dreams.
Rich has both a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering from Southeastern Massachusetts University, Darmouth, Massachusetts as well as an MBA, in Finance and Financial Management Services from Northeastern University in Boston. He resides in Wayland, MA with his wife and 2 children.
